My fiend Jeff, you have seen his library. He was impressed by some Sam's artwork, for example fish pictured hanging in photos of the shop. He and his family owned a cabin in North Carolina, they called the roost/ And they had a silhouette of a rooster hanging outside the front door. Needless to say, they needed a new one and " Hey Chris, could you..." The only catch was he insisted Sam paint it. And of course in the Francentric way it could not be a simple silhouette so we carved it.
When it was time for Sam to paint it we went off to the local paint store and picked out colors - we were up to 8 when told her only 4. She picked them.
We got back to the primed bird in the shop. I opened the 4 cans, set out 4 brushes. I went to quickly clean up a few items and prep. Tops 5 minutes later when I returned she was done. YES what you see here was painted by a 5 year-old in 5 minutes and it is perfect.
It still hangs in NC at The Roost.
